Kyle Grusholt

Grade: Sophomore

Major: Political Science/Journalism

Minor: Philosophy

Years working for the SRC: 2

Favorite part about the SRC: People I work with, the other supervisors, Dr. Kifer and Dr. Leder

How you got involved with the SRC: I first heard about the SRC because I was looking for a job and needed some money. The SRC was hiring and they were so helpful with teaching me everything I needed to do the job successfully. I felt comfortable making calls, and I was interested in the topics we were discussing and researching because of what I am studying here at HPU. Public affairs issues interest me.

Minor: English/Creative Writing

Years working for the SRC: 2

Favorite part about the SRC: Friendly environment, other interviewers and supervisors, Dr. Kifer and Dr. Leder

How you got involved with the SRC: Like a lot of other students, I was looking for a job for work study and came across the SRC. I was talking to a woman in financial planning about jobs that were open for students on campus when a girl in her office mentioned the SRC. She said they were planning on hiring more interviewers and an interest meeting was going to be held sometime later on in the week. I went to the meeting and met Dr. Leder for the first time and it all worked out from there.

Christine Reinicker

Favorite part about the SRC: Being a communications major, the SRC enhanced my speaking skills. Getting to speak with a variety of people over the phone allowed me to learn to efficiently communicate with every type of person. Getting to learn about the general populations opinions about political science and the economy was eye opening. I learned a lot by working at the SRC. By having it on my resume even helped me get a job at a marketing firm in New Jersey.
